New Lob'

Thursday, 30 March 2017
I went for the chop - I think this sort of haircut is usually called a 'lob', and I love it. My hair was in that awkward mid-length stage and it was just getting on my nerves so I just bit the bullet and did it! I find it so much easier to style and I feel like it gives all of my outfits a new edge! Let me know if you like it!

Slogans & Slip-Ons

Tuesday, 14 March 2017

I love graphic tees and T-shirts with a slogan and this one from ASOS is great. I've been lusting over the new Gucci loafers for a while now and have been looking for a good cheaper alternative! I found these ones from River Island and I think they're a pretty good dupe!

Skincare Favourites

Monday, 13 March 2017
I've recently switched up my skincare routine and have found a few products that have become favourites of mine.

Firstly a new cleanser, the Liz Earle Hot Cloth Cleanser is a cult favourite for many people and I can see why. The gentle formula is great for my sensitive skin and the scent is so heavenly and relaxing.

I have some lines on my forehead from where I frown when I concentrate! Even though I'm young I still want to reduce the chance of wrinkles forming too early and this hyaluronic acid is a great way to do so. I use it as a serum on the areas I want and use it along with my moisturisers.

This mask is great for extra oils on the skin that you don't want - especially great for going into the summer when I tend to get more oils on my skin. The clay also gets deep into the pores and is great for reducing spots.

An old favourite of mine as come back into the limelight. I suffer with really dry lips and this Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour balm is great to keep my lips moisturised and acts as a mask at night.

Embroidery, Stripes & Patches

I love the patch trend as you can probably tell! I love this loud shirt from ASOS as it combines my love of embroidery, patches and stripes. I paired this shirt with my frayed jeans and slip on embroidered loafers, can you tell I like embroidery?!

PJ Style

Sunday, 12 March 2017
I love the 'pyjama in the day' trend that is going around at the moment and this white one from Warehouse is the perfect option. The thick material means it's not see-through and the details on the cuffs make it really feminine. I love pairing this shirt with these ripped frayed jeans as they add an edge to the look and make it less formal. I'm really excited for spring summer trends and can't wait to experiment more with my style!

My Makeup Essentials

Tuesday, 7 February 2017
There are so many makeup products out there now days and I for one find it really hard to narrow down the products I use. I feel like my makeup bag always ends up being so full of items I never even use! So I have narrowed it down to my top beauty essentials that I always have in my makeup bag and maybe only add a few other products here and there like powder and eyeshadow and that is all I really need!

The first is foundation - my everyday pick is the Bourjous Healthy Mix Serum foundation. It's light and breathable but has a good amount of coverage for an average day. I am in the shade 52 Vanilla.

I am enjoying this collection lasting perfection concealer as it has a good amount of coverage but doesn't crease under the eyes or wear off during the day!

For my eyebrows, I love the Benefit brow pencil. It has a spoolie on one end and then the pencil on the other which is great for taking with you on the go.

And lastly I always have my Benefit They're real mascara, it is my holy grail product and although it is a little pricey for a mascara, it is the best one I have ever used and seems to last for ages!

My Top Cleansers

Monday, 14 November 2016

Cleansing has always been something I haven't really done. Of course, I was my face and exfoliate and the whole skincare routine, but I've never really known what cleansing was. I thought it was about time I educated myself and put some to the test. I have 2 favorites, one slightly more expensive and one really affordable.

The first is the Sanctuary Spa 'Detox Charcol Mask'. this is such a lovely cleanser that starts off as a gel and once massaged into the skin with water turns to a milky oil. Really luxurious and deeply cleansing. The product self-warms on the face to open up pores and give a really deep clean. It leaves my skin feeling so so soft and fresh. I couldn't recommend it more!

The second cleanser I have been loving for more of an everyday use is the Simple foaming cleanser. This is a very affordable but good quality cleanser that I use to remove my makeup before cleansing again. I love the simplicity of the product and the assurance that I get from Simple products that my skin isn't going to react badly. This is a great light and kind cleanser that leaves my face clean and refreshed!

All That Glitters

Monday, 17 October 2016
How beautiful is this bag by Katie Loxton?! I got it in Kingston while shopping around in Fennicks and fell in love! It's the perfect size for small essentials inside a bigger bag or maybe as a clutch for a night out! There were loads of different colours with different phrases but the metallic silver took my eye and I had to have it. It was too beautiful not to show you guys so here is my new baby! It was so affordable but really feels luxury and the packaging was so lovely, you guys should definitely check out this brand, who doesn't love affordable luxury!

New In Beauty

Tuesday, 11 October 2016
So Recently I went on a bit of a splurge and I bought quite a few new beauty bits. My top 3 favourite bits were all for the face, I got a new foundation, concealer and a primer/highlighter...

The foundation is the Bourjous Healthy Mix SerumFoundation in '52 Vanille', I have never really ventured into Bourjous makeup before but I have heard quite a lot of good things about the brand and in particular this foundation so I thought I would give it a go! - And I absolutely love it! I didn't want a heavy coverage foundation because I like the 'no makeup makeup' look, but I wanted to be able to hide any discolouration or blemishes if I needed to. The formula is so lovely and light and feels like nothing on the skin. It has a lovely dewy finish and the colour match was pretty much perfect for my weird pale skin!

Foundation -

The concealer I picked up was also by Bourjous and it is the 'Radiance Reveal' concealer in 'Light'.  Again I loooveeee this!! Not too heavy but covers what I need it to. It's really nice and illuminating and definitely brightens under the eyes! love this and I have to say the packaging is so lovely and feels very high end.

Concealer -

I needed a primer but I also wanted a product that I could add to my foundation to give it more glow! I found this product my the brand 'Seventeen' and it looked perfect for what I wanted. It's basically a 2in1 primer and highlighter. I either apply it to my face before the foundation, mix it in with the foundation or just apply it after as a creamy highlighter, it looks quite scary in the bottle but once applied it is quite subtle and not too sparkly.

Until next time! Georgie xx
